Battery/electrical question - DIY or Dealer?

Hey everyone - hope to get an enlightened reply to this from anyone that may have had the same or similar problem.

About 4-5 months ago my battery died. I have an '03 sedan, so not too surprising. I purchased a DieHard from Sears, and cool, good to go. Monday morning, I went out to the G and it was dead - no start. Hmmm, OK. I hooked my tricle charger up to it and worked from home that day. Around 6 that evening I went out and it started right up. OK, I thought, weird that it was dead, but whatever - I'll have to look into that later.

The next morning I go out to the garage to go to work and - bam! Again dead battery!? The next morning, without running it or anything - I'm stumped.

Has anyone run into this - i.e., what could draining the battery to such an extent and how do you track something like that down? I have read in some other threads here about disconnecting the negative terminal and trying to measure milliamperage from it/pulling fuses, etc. but when I tried that I kept blowing the fuse on my meter - so I'm guessing I'm screwing that up.

I do have the PA11-NIS hook up for my iPod, but don't think it would be a cause of it as I've had that set-up for about a year now.

Anyone have anything to offer before I need to take it in to the dealer on Saturday. Hoping I can figure it out as I know the dealer cost will be a killer!

Thanks in advance!
Kev

its a parastic draw, . i have seen this a few times and a few differant fixes for it. i have seen BCM not going to sleep, and the radio not going to sleep most common things for that on older G's. Also you keep blowing your fuse in your meter because you are not hooking it up properly in series to measure the draw or have it on the wrong amprage setting....
