Neither the remote nor the release button opens the trunk. I don't know if there are any other ways to get into the trunk. It doesn't seem like I can fold the rear seats down without getting into the trunk either. I am in dire need, so please help.

 

You can get into your trunk. There is a seat back release in between the rear upper and bottom section in the middle.
Just reach in with your hand and feel around. You will find a red nylon strap. Give it a pull and it should release the seat back and you can get access to the trunk that way. FOLLOW MY LINK

Thanks for the advice. I think I might have a blown fuse. Do you know where the fuse for the trunk lid is located? In the engine bay or door panel?
