Car won't start!!! Click noise --> battery?

Came out to start my car and it won't start. When i turn the ignition i hear a click click click click noise from it but engine won't start. Could it i need a new battery? But my car is only 3 years old!!! wtf battery's arn't suppose to suck like that. a good 5 or 6 years then it needs to be change. Allstate tech is on the way in 30 minutes. If it is the battery, it is cover under infiniti warranty? damit!!!!

Easy way to check is to turn the key and see if your dash lights up. You can also check the dome lights and look to see if the lights on the bottom of the doors turn on when the door is open. If so, your battery isnt dead. I'd say its either the battery, starter, or a short somewhere. If its the battery, you just take off the plastic piece covering the battery, disconnect the negative then positive, remove and replace, then connect the terminals back. Easy to do.

What was the end result? Dead battery or loose connection?

I had the same problem today on my 03 G34 sedan. The dash board lights started flickering and i heard a loud clicking noise when i turned the ignition.

Was it the battery? or was it something else?

Far from accurate. You can still get lights on a weak battery but not get the motor to crank over. It simply doesn't have enough umph to kick it over.

If you replace the battery, get the alternator checked. If the alternator is shot, you'll eventually burn out the new battery.

Put in a new battery or jump start it from another car battery, but dont start the engine on the other car.

Once your G starts, use a multimeter to measure the voltage at the battery terminals. It should be close to 14 volts. If it shows 12v or below, then u have an issue with ur charging system.

Let us know what u find!

Say if you put a new battery in the car and it still won’t start or crank over. I put a new battery in the vehicle and I was still hearing the clicking noise. What does that mean ?

Just because the battery is new doesn't mean it could be defective or have a bad cell.
Check and clean your battery terminals and make sure they are tight with no corrosion
Test it with a battery hydrometer. All the cells should have a full charge

Correct, "new" has nothing to do with "fully charged".

FWIW I'm on my third Infiniti over almost 15 years. When I priced batteries back when I had my first Infiniti my 06 G35 my Infiniti dealer was about $20 higher than other shops.
For the three batteries that needed replacement over the past fifteen years, I purchased all of them at my local Infiniti dealer.
Everything worked every time I left and my car was cleaner as I left then it was when I first drove it in..
Just sayin
