i'm sure people might think this could be a dumb question but just need to know..

does doing donuts in the snow mess up your car?

and when i am driving in the snow just normally trying to get home but the slip light is going off non stop because of the VDC due to that the tires are slipping in the snow .. does that mess up the engine? or manual trans?

 

well if you have VDC ON it is going to keep trying to break the wheel that is slipping, so it's not so good on your break pads, but I'd rather have to replace break pads than hit something with VDC off while on ice/snow.

 

I can't see how it would hurt anything, but like he ^ said. It may wear your pads a little faster. I usually turn the vdc off when I am trying to get going, letting it spin a little and not fighing the traction control and VDC makes it a little easier.
