Has anyone upgraded their horn?
if so what do you have ?

What horn would you say goes well with the g35 ??

Any sound clips would be nice ..

 

I have the Hella Twin Supertone Horns. They're much louder than stock, but it kinda makes my car sound like it belongs in Mario Kart or something... you should be able to find some sound clips using Google.

Find some clips of the Nismo horns. I know a bunch of peeps get that one...

 

hmm .. cant seem to find any soundclips of any nismo horns on google or youtube.com

if anyone has a nismo horn and doesnt mind making a sound/video clip
it would be appreciated ..

I have a set of WOLO dual trumpet air horns. I got them at Pep Boys for about 20 bux. I had to install a relay to handle the power required for the air compressor, but it was worth it. They sound just like this:

Those frickin' Soccer Moms in there Escalades, talking on their cell phones while driving 80 mph on the freeway. PAY FRICKIN' ATTENTION when you blow those babies!

From what I remember, the Nismo horns aren't that much louder than stocks but they do have a better tone.

The PIAAs are 115 db while the Hellas are 118 db... not sure how much of a difference the 3 dbs actually make in person. If you want louder, you can always go with air horns, but you'd want to find a new location to mount them, making the install a bit more complicated than a simple swap.

 

i have bad boy wolo horn as well. not the trumpets though. i have it mounted in my stock location and it looks cool behind the grill. check out my avatar

 

3db makes a good difference. I'd go with the Hella Supertones. I have them on my subie and about to put them on the G. I love em! Paint them black for the stealth look

 

I'm looking for a louder horn too. I'm sick of getting cut off by soccer moms with their windows up and A/C and radio on and not even being able to hear my horn.

The Hella's sound kinda like a go-kart horn...any idea where I can pick up the PIAA horns from anyone? Are they a direct swap with the OEM horns, or will i need to do mods to fit them in?

 

I would like to upgrade the horn on my 03 coupe. Just wondering, are any of them a direct swap without tweaking them?

3db increase = double the perceived loudness.
