So guys I got a question. When I step on it in 3rd gear all the way to redline and shift to 4th @ about 90mph, the battery light comes on and my car just DIES Yup, you read right, my car just shuts off and no power steering or nothing. I was wondering if anyone else has had this issue and how you resolve it? I am thinking maybe its my fuel filter, but before I go replacing stuff, I thought I would ask my fellow G members.

Maybe you hit the rev limiter right between shifts and the fuel got cut off just long enough for the engine to stall... happened to me once

 

Hey Pat. Yeah, thats what I thought too, but I made sure I don't touch the rev limiter and it still dies. The car starts to bog after 4500 til about 6000. This is really strange.

 

Anyone know?

 

What about in neutral?

 

^^^Neutral is fine. I changed the pcv valve already. It just happens in 3rd through 4th gear.

 

mine cut off when i pushed the clutch in. do u have an intake on it? make sure ur mass airflow sensor isnt hitting anything

 

My auto died going 70 across a bridge so maybe its something else completely.
I dont really know what happened but I pumped my brakes at the guy behind me goin 10 below the speed limit in the fast lane and the car just shuts off and I have to coast to a stop in the middle of a bridge and restart it Im sure the guy behind me got a kick out of it, thats what I get
