NEED SOME Help!

I am in need for a little advice or comfort after my 2004 g35 6mt had a major problem. I was driving home last night and all of a sudden it went to full throttle and to the rev limiter. I shut it down, waited a minute to catch my breath
and tried a restart. Same thing...it went WOT I shut it down, opened the hood and was met with the putrid smell of electrical...It's was towed back to my garage and I'm trying to see and obvious signs of were the problem may be...I removed the intake up to the throttle body and when I turn the key to the on position the butterfly stayed in the closed position, however there is a high pitched squeal sound coming from the throttle body control unit, and I don't know if this is a normal sound... Any suggestions?

Were the 04's drive by wire? Sounds like a new throttle body control unit is in order. Is the car still under warranty?

Throttle Control

After Diagnosing the problem, it seems it turned out to be a malfunction in the throttle body control unit. A voltage check in the connector showed a ground condition were there should have been 12 volts. Further testing showed that the short in the unit caused a failure in the IPDM (engine fuse box) which also needs replacing now. The fortunate thing is the IPDM offers protection to the ECM which would have been real costly. From what I've heard this TBC problem is somewhat common. I was just a bit surprised that when the engine went WOT, there was no fail safe control of the engine!! Total cost...$270.00 for the throttle body, and $672.00 for the IPDM which I think I can do better on..

There would be no codes since the malfunction is not emissions related...
