Angry Yet another "the shop f****d my car up" thread...

Had some repair work done including new front bumper, paint, and replaced the air conditioning condenser after hitting a tire on the freeway. They had to drain the radiator and AC lines and now I have it back the compressor keeps switching on and radiator fan is running almost continuously. I checked the fluid level and it's full, now the car keeps overheating. Also I noticed the heater is not blowing hot air at all. Tried to purge the radiator for air bubbles and checked thoroughly for any leaks, found none. I will be taking it back to the shop on Monday but I don't want to drive it there if it's going to overheat, not to mention I would prefer to fix it myself than let the shop touch my car again. So frustrating since this is a very reputable body shop. Any ideas guys?

yeah, in the process of trying to do that now. I think they hooked up the airconditioning wrong somehow too though. Problem I'm noticing now is that even when the car is completely cold (sitting overnight) the fan comes on and the compresser is switching on even when the air/defrost is turned off.

Yep, bubbles in the system.

Take it back and make them re-do it.

bubbles in the system will affect the compressor and no heat from vents too?

OK, so spent at least 4 hours trying to bleed air from the system, still getting bubbles and the car is still overheating when under any load. Still no heat from vents. It's going back to the shop tomorrow, I have my reservations about them even working on it again.
