My car has 100k and I just changed my Spark plugs and there is a lot of oil pooling on plug 6!! What do you think this will cost me since my car out of warranty?

 

Damn dude. Thats gonna cost alot of money to fix that.

 

Just how much exactly? My old DE had some as well, it's common, but all i did was clean it up and replaced the plugs. Been 30k since, no problems.

 

I just called 2 different places and was quoted 1133$ to replace both valve cover ... Does anybody know where i can buy the valve covers? so i can replace it myself. Or is it only through the dealer?

The part shouldn't cost you much, even from the dealer. From the price, it just sound like a lot of labor.

 

PM Rck or Tony at Riverside Infiniti. They'll quote you a reasonable price for the VC.

 

The side with filler neck is $160-$180 and other side is $145 I think. Had both of mine replaced awhile back. Did it under warranty..Parts and labor almost $600.

The problem is your valve covers will still leak. Infiniti made this genius idea to make them one piece so you have to buy the part as a whole. It wont hurt anything just keep fouling out plugs and maybe consume some oil. No biggie. Thats sarcasm.

OP i was qouted 1100 at the dealership also. I think the parts where around 150 a piece and its not that much work. Mine was covered under warranty or i would have never let them touch it. You can buy them seperately though and usually pre 05 its pretty consitent that its the sixth one.
