Upper oil pan

okay so in the shop to get toe bolts they noticed ALOT of things wrong biggest thing was they said upper oil pan has a slow leak and is about 7 hour job and $600 something to fix that. Then they said a few bushings need to be replaced as well.

Also they said power steering fluid is pretty black and needs to be changed which is about an 1-2 hours so $180 dollars for that.. Do these prices sound okay to you guys or am I being ****ed with.

Up oil pan? yea def does not sound kosher ( not a car expert) but I have never heard of that term on here, we might call it something different. idk

For the Power steering fluid- 10 bucks and some time

Oh looks like its true, but would look into it, see if what they are saying is true or not.

Thanks. They said specifically that it will be $720 to take out upper oil pan and to reseal it with cocking and put it back..

Also have the problem when my car is idleing at like a red light or stop or whatever the heat goes from blowing 90 degree heat to cold air. They tried bleeding it but no success to getting the air pocket out.

Last time i looked...it seemed easier than that. I'll have to look again.

Maybe i was just looking at the pan where the plug is located though

Upper oil pan is what the lower oil pan is bolted to. It's a huge part, and while I've never attempted to change it while on the car, it looks like it would be a lot of work.

Which air filter we talking about? Cabin or Engine? Both are 15-20 bucks for a replaceable filter.

not stock filter.. I have Ztube setup with popcharger Where you have to rinse the filter and re oil it and the oil cost a few bucks at pepboys.. I have done it before.

As for the power steering I have never done that before but for $10 myself or $80 for them id rather do it myself.. Ill be learning this weekend lol
