ive lost my key and think its in trunk but cant find it if it is in the trunk will it start the car or does it have to be inside its an 2006 coupe

 

Pretty sure it needs to be in the passenger compartment. Furthermore, if you accidentally close the trunk with the Intelligent Key inside the car beeps at you and the trunk pops open. It won't let you do that (which is pretty dang intelligent).
