Question Car won't fire up

Yesterday around 4 PM after having the car had sat for a couple hours the car would come close to starting up but doesn't fully fire up. After continuously trying it several times and pumping the gas when doing it, it worked.

Around 9 PM car had sat for about an hr and same thing. Wouldn't work at all. Decided to jump it, wasn't working and with some pumping of the gas it finally worked. Gas was low, filled it to half tank.

Around 12 AM car sat for about 30 mins to an hour and it started it up just fine.

Around 2 AM the car had sat for about an hour. Doing the same thing, wouldn't work. Tried jumping again, wouldn't work. Left the car in the parking lot since it was too low to tow and in the morning tried it again, didn't work, but didn't try jumping it. Ended up getting it towed.

Anyone have any idea what this may sound like? All I have is an intake. I cleaned the filter several weeks ago. I recently got a TSB done the day before at dealer (passenger air bag), and I've never faced this issue at all till yesterday.

*EDIT: Just got word from my mechanic that the vehicle is throwing a P1610 code, which states it is a NATS Malfunction. Do any wires run underneath the car, ground or whatnot that go to the ECM or BCM where if I bottomed out the car near the sway bar, power steering, and cats it could damage them?

I dunno. I don't think it is. It's turning over but won't fire up. I've been told it's possibly the fuel pump and also that it might be the throttle body. Fuel pump fuse is good though so it would have to be the fuel pump if it is a fuel issue (my guess, prob not that good).

I'm having this problem too, it's really frustrating because after installing and pay for a new battery and car alarm. the starter I believe is giving out on me, and if that's never been changed i can see why. any ideas people???

did this start happening after your intake was installed or after you cleaned/oil your intake filter?

I figured out what my problem was. Shawn, maybe yours can be somewhat related? There's a fuse box by the dead pedal/clutch. Apparently one of the wires was yanked on (by my foot on accident) and that connected to the BCM. It was a power supply wire. What the stealership told me was that there were two wires for an aftermarket alarm, which I don't have. My alarm is through Infiniti and whatever they've installed so I don't know what they're talking about. I'd make sure all wires in that area are in tact.

See if you can go to Autozone or Pep Boys and borrow a code reader. I believe if you leave them your ID they'll allow it free of charge. With mine it was showing a NATS Security thing. My mechanic couldn't figure it out so I had to take it to the dealer.

^ oh cool. it sounded like a MAF issue to me, but you would have seen a P0101 code instead.
