I was cleaning my car, did a quick vacuum around the driver seat. After i was done i was setting the seat back to position. It moved a back and it stopped.

My car is an 04 Coupe

Few notes,
I have three buttons on my seat, its the very bottom one, which reclines the back portion of the seat that stopped working.
When i first pressed it it moved a tiny bit and the interior lights dimmed for a second and i heard some kinda of noise? (more like a shorting out sound)

any idea what it might be? it happened at 12am and i was too lazy to check fuses... Everything else works like a charm

 

I have a similar issue on my 06 sedan. I suspect the motor might need replacement. I'm having an auto electrician look at it shortly. You should do the same.

 

Do the other buttons work for you?

Any idea if they have one fuse or more?

 

Not sure at this point, but I will look into that.

 

mine act up a lot of times. I have to just push and release the button over and over to finally get it to work. I haven't tried to diagnose it although it would be great to not have this issue!
