fuel pump change now cluster problem
I have a 05 g35 sedan 6mt with 140k on it. My fuel pump went out on me like 2 week agao.I took it to a local Infinit Shop. I full up the tank and gas was right on point. After driving my g for 100-120mile my gas never went down. I know something is wrong. Can it be my gas gauge not read right? So I call the shop up they said bring the car back after you on E no problem. Today they call me and said I have a bad gas gauge cluster. Can that be the problem? Can anyone help me out I check all the form and no ask.
thanks for your time.

The fuel pump assembly float may be stuck up...or of the wires going to the fuel float assembly may be broke...
I've taken my fuel pump in at out of my car many times for various FI upgrade....
that Infiniti shop is full of shiyt...they probably botched the install...

Just got my g back today. They said the problem is cluster. I will check it out tomorrow. Would you have any good tips before I take out fuel pump and how much gas should be in my car before I take it out and test it?
- The emptier the better, less messy when you take out your fuel pump
- Check the fuel line from the tank and make sure it isn't tangled with the fuel pump float assembly
- Check the wires that go into the fuel pump float assemble and make sure they aren't damaged
- After you take the pump out, pull the float up and down and see if the fuel level meter responds...you need to re-attach the connector to your fuel pump and turn your key so your fuel meter goes on (but don't start the car)
