2005 G Coupe

installed a set of jack pads into the sub frame of my 2003 VW Passat yesterday and was wondering if the G has the ability to accept jack pads in the sub frame.

just wanted to check if anyone knew before I have to pull the car out of the garage and jack it up to look underneath.

my VW has holes in the sub frame that were covered with plugs. just removed these with a screwdriver and installed the jack pads that seat into the sub frame with the speed jack.

my friend who is a GM shop foreman said he had never seen anything like these before. makes jacking the car up even easier now.

would love for the same kit to fit the G if it has the sub frame holes for mounting.

anyone know? thanks in advance.

 

The G's do have jack points. I believe they're outlined in the owner's manual.

 

yes, thank you I am aware of those, but that is not my question.

 

IMO anywhere on the subframe should be fine. Just not on any suspension areas.
