AC fan motor not working? Help!

My AC fan motor is acting up. When I turn on the AC or heater, there are no air coming out of the vent. This happens in all modes. Sometimes, when the car gets hot, the air will be blown out of the vent. Most of the time, it doesn't work.

My friend at a shop told me that it's either the fan motor is not working properly or the resistor has problem. If that's the case, he has to rip open the dash to get access to the fan.

Let's hear some words from other fellow G owners.

Thanks!

What year? First thing to check are fuses and there are several involved. Our fan motors are easily accessible behind and below the glove box (right above the passengers feet). Not much "dashboard ripping" involved if you do need to get to it.
good luck
