Help

Cleaned my throttle body changed my crankshaft sensor now I'm getting a C1130 code along with the P0507. I've done the relearn successfully. Could I have touched something to trigger the C1130 ?

Did you unplug the battery from the circuit before cleaning the TB?

Our TB's are VERY sensitive.

I did another relearn today it's stilling idling higher then normal. Will the computer eventually correct itself or is there something i need to do ? I had changed my spark plugs and my intake gaskets a few months back also (took it to a shop) that's when i initially got the P0507 code because apparently buddy wasn't sensitive with the TB... I know this is correctable just need to be pointed in the right direction

Did you buy an OEM sensor?

Idle is tricky. I think battery has to be charged greater then 12v, all electronics off, maybe steering wheel centered, and you need to stop and start it real quick after it lowers while its running. I think that last step is left off on a lot of DIY.

I haven't had to replace any sensors so far out of warranty, but for items like that I would definitely stick with OEM either new or used. I have read from a few different people that aftermarket sensors don't always work well with our cars.

Took me about 50 times to get the idle re-learn when I first had to do it after cleaning my throttle body. If I remember correctly the car has to be warm, all electronics off, headlights in off position NOT AUTO (I think that was messing me up to be honest), steering wheel straight, and you can't have any timing modifications or ecu flashes or something. Then when it finely settles down as your sitting there you need to turn it off and on again fairly quickly. Otherwise it will "forget' the setting when you turn it off. I don't even plan on messing with my throttle body anymore because of this.

I think this can also reset idle for you as well: http://www.nissandatascan.com/

I bought a Chinese consult-3 plus knock off, but haven't messed with it to much yet.
