2005 Coupe Window Switch Chatter/Whine

My 2005 Coupe driver's side window has started to malfunction with an associated strange window switch noise. When you push the window switch down the whole module makes a high pitched whine, and when you pull the switch up the module make a clicking sound (only when the window does not move normally). Sometimes if you hold the switch in either position long enough eventually the window moves, but it is intermittent. I have read the service manual but that did not help.

I have viewed all the previous posts about resetting the window motor for up and down excursions and have performed the reset process many times with no improvement. I have replaced the window motor with a remanufactured one with no improvement. I opened and cleaned the original motor and replaced it in the door. Not any better. Replaced the whole door switch module... No luck. The door open/close switch appears to be functioning properly. The only thing that I have not replaced is the cable/regulator part that connects the motor to the window and moves the window. I do not know if the cable is binding. There does not seem to be any easy way to lubricate it.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated before I have to take the car back to Infiniti, especially after buying all these parts.
