Need help answering this question

I changed the valve cover gasket on g35 coupe 04
Because I was smelling oil in the cabin when I put the heat on l

I notice that the ignition coil spring In the plastic part that connects to the spark plug was missing .... Wen I backed tracked I found it in the crank case it was close to a hole in the the engine then the dam thing fell in te hole I Tryed and Tryed to get it out but I think it got pushed back in the hole and Jamed there now the car ran before this fine no problems just to say ..
I couldn't find it...it was not the hole spring ...but just the white fuse part ...now I put it back together with out it ( meaning no fuse part in the ignition on that one coil ) and started it up it ran and was fine ...the valve cover did not leake no more but now the AT check light comes on and blinks along with the check engine light and the engine shuts off .. I for got to disconect the battery till I finished taking off the intake manafold is when I realized it was still connected.. idk if this could have shorted or the spring came back up and is bouncing around in there causing the computer to miss read or I did not conect a wire tight enough idk any help or tought will be help full I will take it to auto zone and get a reading to see what is it in the computer I'll keep you updated tho for other people with these problem

Thanks mike a

"tried"

I would not run the engine if there's debris in the engine like that.
