coilover options
I'm thinking about ordering some coilovers on monday and I need some opinions. I've narrowed it down to either cusco zero 2, hks rs, or silkroad which was recommended by someone at the meet yesterday (sorry forgot your name). I'm leaning toward the hks rs however, whats making me iffy about these is I've heard that they bend easy? Just wondering if this is true cause we all know how great our roads are.

that would be me. On the silkroad-usa.com site, go directly though Intec. You could also go through straight from Japan, and the wait isnt that much longer...if not, sooner. Some of my friends have been ordering from Taka Kaira and have been getting good results through them. Even if some of their items arent listed on the site, they can find it and get it for you. The only bad thing about getting stuff directly from Japan is customs, but it isnt that bad at all. You'll have to pay some sort of shipping tax or something of that matter...overall, the price total you spend will ultimately be cheaper the how much you'll be spending from someone here and on the mainland.
The HKS RS, I havent heard anything bad about them. One of my good friends has them on his Z, and tracked it a lot.
It really depends one what you're looking for and what's the highest on your priority list. Fashion or Function.
I would highly recomend the KW Variant series as well...they used in alot of euro cars, euro race teams, and the ride in those coilovers are awsome. I drove a few porsches on the KW and they're fricken awsome. very comfy, yet aggressive on teh track. IMO, their up there with Ohlins, at a more affordable price.
Bilstein is another one...been reading up on the PSS9 and, sometimes I wish I went that route - I will definetly this route when the SilkRoad shows their age. Bilstein is reknowned for being the best where it's damping is self adjusting, kinda in the same theory of progressive springs. I've had them on my buick t-type and on my toyota alltrac. It's similar to the TEIN basics...but better. I believe that bilsteins dampers and shocks have lifetime warranties.
