Cloudy Headlights

Hey guys, is it my G? Or you guys have the same problem about your headlights turning kind of cloudy. Ever since I started washing the car my headlights started turning cloudy from inside. Is there products out there I can buy to eliminate the cloudiness? Fresh new pair of headlights are just too costly, but this will have to be my last resort. Windex didn't work by the way.

if its on the outside you can use plastix, plexus or you can polish it off...but if its on the inside you have to take it apart and clean it out. i had the same problem with it on the outside of the headlights and cleaned it with meguires plastix.

make sure you get a good seal on the headlights. usually that is caused by some kind of condensation and heat in the housing. someone correct me if im wrong. im just using my experience from previous vehicles...

oh god, WINDEX probably caused it in the first place! Never use any cleaning product that contains amonia on plastic!!!!!

it eats away at it, causing cloudiness

aahhrrrggg

i learned the hard way... still haven't figured out how to clean it off yet... I've tried mucho different products... nothings worked so far... cleaned up a little bit of it but still very cloudy

meguiars plastix
mothers plastic polish
3m plastic polish.

All 3 work excellent, try them first before trying to take apart your headlamps.

It's probably just buildup on the outside of the lenses.

Flitz polish works too used with like a powerball or your elbow grease lol
Meguirs plastic polish
Plexus for cleaning
Loctite also has a good plastic polish
If your hardcore you can get a micropolish kit at goldwings at the airport
But like everyone else said if it is on the inside you gotta open it up and clean it out and then make sure you re-seal it good to keep out the mositure and contaminents unless your lens has a crack somewhere.
Just buy the aftermarkets lol uknow the cheap ebays

It is most likely on the outside, mine did that and it looked like it was from inside. What are you using to wash your car to begin with? If your headlights are getting cloudy and it is from the outside, that may be a good warning to look at the products your using and check the condition of your paint also.
