Anyone use a laser jammer here? Are they legal? I was told they were, but it seems counter to what the cops would allow....

My neighboor is a IL State Trooper, he told me today that in IL now they are using LIDAR, Instant Laser, as he explaned it. Don't know if he was F%#ing with me our not, but he said that it's accurate down to the foot that he shot you at! - Just stay off the Tri-State. Oh Yea , The Jammer's are not illegal in IL, and IN.

quick search on google says "States that have Banned the use of all jammers
California, Colorado, Illinois, Minnesota, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Utah, Virginia and Washington DC"

 

I heard they were legal, and security and sound even installs them, i was planning on checking them out soon.

They shouldn't be illegal. Lasers are regulated by the FDA, not the FCC like radar. That's our loophole. Some states have re-written their laws though to specifically state that they are illegal now.
