THE PEARL HARBOR AUTOSHOW 2007!
SUNDAY MAY6
WHO: All car entusiasts
WHAT: The 5th Annual Pearl Harbor Autoshow
WHEN: Sunday, May 6th, 2007, 9am-5pm
WHERE: The Mall at Pearl Harbor (Navy Exchange)
COST: $12 entrance fee for participants (Tax-deductible donation to NMRCS); FREE for spectators
Ok, you've been waiting for it; listening to the rumors, and now its here. The Pearl Harbor Autoshow Returns for a 5th year to the lot at the NEX, this time at the southwest corner of the parking lot near the Package store.
This year MWR and NEX are partnering up with the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society (NMCRS) to bring you one of the premier autoshows in Hawaii. The $12 tax-deductible entrance fee will be donated directly to NMCRS to benefit our military families. All proceeds of the show go to benefit programs for our military families
The show will feature all the bells and whistles that you've come to expect:
* Live entertainment going on all day
* Food concessions with proceeds benefiting military commands and the NMCRS
* Bounce houses, water slide, dunk tank and tons of other activities for the kids
* Hourly giveaways and much, much more!
* AND DON'T FORGET THE CHECKER POKER RUN AT 7AM BEFORE THE SHOW (participants will have reserved parking) see Registration Form for details
The first 350 participants will all receive a voucher for a goodie-bag with T-shirts and other promotional items (as supplies last)
There are 14 different categories this year, as well as the Best of Show award.
1. Asian Import A sedan or coupe by an Asian manufacturer
2. Asian Cross Over mid size multi- purpose vehicle manufactured by Asian manufacturer (excluding SUV's)
3. Pre 1978 low rider domestic Automobile that has been lower by altering suspension and or wheels
4. 1978 and newer low rider Same as above but newer
5. Euro import Vehicle manufactured in a European country
6. Vintage any factory stock vehicle 25 years or older regardless of origin
7. Street Rod 1925-1945 Any Vehicle with in date range that has been modified with V-8 engine and late model running gear
8. Street Rod 1946-1953 same as above with different year vehicles
9. Street Rod 1954-1963 same as above with different year vehicles
10. American 1964 -1974 Any domestic full size vehicle with big engine manufactured during the muscle car era Chevells, Impalas, GTO's, 442, Buick GS Chargers, Cuda's, Challengers, Road Runners, GTX, Darts, Dusters, Big Block Fords excluding Mustangs, AMX, Rebels, Matadore etc.
11. Custom Truck Any Full or Mid Size Pick Up Trucks and full size SUV's that have been customized for appearance or performance.
12. American Sports Car Corvette's, Cobras, Camaros, Mustang's, and Post 1974 Pony Cars.
13. Retro Any modified domestics in the following areas Neon, PT Cruiser, Cavilier, Focus, Escort,
14. Late Model Muscle GM -Gbody cars SS Monte Carlo, Buick GN, Late model Impala SS, new Chargers and Magnums & 300's, late model T-Birds, Late-Model GTOs
Clubs will be allowed to enter the show before individual participants between 6:30am - 7:30am. Please take note that there will not be reserved stalls for clubs this year, so rolling in together will be the best way to keep your crew together. Clubs will also be allowed to purchase adjoining stalls for tents and club promotion. Unauthorized tents will be be taken down. All other tents/structures must fit completely in front or back of participants' stalls as determined solely by the Autoshow staff. Please see registration form or call for more details.
Pre-Registration is going on right now and forms can be obtained here or by visiting the Autoport at Pearl Harbor, NEX Customer Service, or any Checker Autoparts. Mail in your applications by April 15th, 2007. On site registration will be available after that on the day of the show on a space-available basis only.
