In "celebration" of 2 members getting their cars back by this weekend,......just wondering if anyone is up to a small cruise since Jayspr5 and cbr600rr should be getting their cars. Maybe cruise from town to the Windward side through Hawaii Kai then go look for a late nite snack? Start at about maybe 8ish somewhere in town??

Anyone?? Thoughts??

Hopefully my car gets back. I only have one more day before the weekend. Cross those fingers.

I just called UNIBODYTECH and they told me my car is ready for pick up. I should be picking it up in about two hours. I haven't seen my car yet, but these guys are really professional and their service is pretty good. He even called me to give me an update, you don't see that kind of stuff anymore. We'll see how good their work is when I pick up my car.

 

Got my car back...yay...sorta... I guess once your car is in an accident it's never the same. When I compare the sealant between body panels from the factory to the repair shop you can really tell the difference. The factory is smooth and clean and the repair shop is messy and not even close to smooth. There are other things like lint in the paint and them scratching my door handle, but my biggest thing was them not replacing a sil panel that was damaged in the accident. I pointed the panel and the scratch out and they will look into fixing it. Should I even mention the lint?

 

I would mention the lint if it is in the paint. When and if that lint comes detached,...wouldnt it take a little of the paint with it? If you clayed it,...how would that work out? Wouldnt that smooth it out a bit??

Well,...good to have you "back in the game" I suppose.

 

Okay was thinking to meet maybe at Kakaako park at about 8ish and go through H3 to the Windward side, then head into Hawaii Kai and maybe get a late nite snack. Somewhere,..........ummm might end up being Zippy's at that hour though. Any other thoughts? Figure go for a short ride,..havent done that in a while.

As for the bodywork thing...well I didn't pay for the work since the other person's insurance is paying for it. Guess what? I got home and I found scratches on the inside plastic panels in the back... man this is getting worse. I really hope this can get resolved.

 

Woo woo... I installed my new Z tube and popcharger. Makes this mean whistle noise at higher RPM. Sounds turbo-ish. haha. Can't wait to drive around with it.

 

Yeah popcharger...not procharger... it's just intake. Don't worry, I'll let you be the first one of us here in hawaii to get a supercharger. haha. So what? Still no car?
