Unhappy Service Engine Soon?

Did any one here had this b4 or something? I got it on mine but im out of warranty already. Does any body know how to take it off?

I havn't used my car for a long time so the battery was disconnected, I took it out today to drive to alamoana but then when i started it der its like the battery was gonna die and then the SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT came on. i tryd to disconnect the battery again but its still der.

Thanx guys for the info.

Take your car to sonics. Seth has a scan tool which will tell you what's wrong. Call him and tell him Allen sent you. He may charge or he may not. I had a engine light too and turned out to be the gas cap. Erased it with his scan tool and haven't had a problem since.

Some places charge over $100 to scan. Pretty ridiculous when you can buy a scanner for less.

This is what I use, erase my p1284 code weekly.
~$50, make sure to get the one that handles can protocol.

Herb soncis has a lift so they can raise your car. They also have those slim floor ramps if your car is lowered. Always take my car there and not once did I have to raise it.

i think it did that coz my battery was los. but ill look in to that. amazon? sweet thanx dude.

I charged my battery for overnight and the service engine light is GONE......

i think it was only reading battery low or something.

I had to replace mine last summer. Got about 3 years out of it.

do a search on the ecu reset. then count the number of blinks during the diagnostics stage of the reset.
