question about the MREV2 mod.
With the install it had put in a ccv(coolant control valve) and it has it closed for air temps above 55, why is that and what good does it do? I just feel funny stopping the coolant from going to the engine when it gets hot. Please help as I would not want to harm my G.
there is no need to do the coolant hose, we live in hawaii, engine warms up faster than the mainland. i still cut mines for fun and before i sold my mrev i replace the valved hose with oem from napa.

You have it the other way around. Coolant actually runs very hot. So that last thing you need is it heating up your plenum from all that heat its absorbed.
You are only recommended to open it when it gets below ~50F. That prevents your throttle body from staying shut from the cold temps.

After reading your post it seems that you think it's an automatic valve that opens and closes at 55°. This is not the case. It's a manual valve that is spliced into the coolant hose that runs over the drivers side valve cover (right beneath the intake hose).
all you need to know is that the coolant is actually hot. the valve basically stops the "hotlant" from heating up your throttle body. it basically heats up your throttle body so your car starts normally in colder climate. because we live in hawaii we never need that, so basically have a hot throttle body that wastes power. i have it on mines and no problems. oh and by the way the MREV2 is awesome. lots of mid range power/torque!
