curbed my rim!

i guess that's the curse of having 18" tires
the "rim protector" feature on the michelins was no help
my fault- was looking at the girl walking along the highway and not paying attention to whether or not htere was a curb on the driveway

Re: curbed my rim!

i curbed my rims today, stupid dumb *** bitch almost hit me. I was honking and honking, but still she insisted on coming into my lane. Stupid women drivers, no offense to women divers that own G's, how hard it is to look when you change lanes. ruined my whole damn day. but maybe gives me an excuse to get new rims ... hahah =P

Re: curbed my rim!

First of all sorry to hear that... been there with the stock ones... aftermarket ones is a totally different story... *sighs*

Well, at least it was you guys who did the scratching... Not that it helps but at least it wasnt someone else badly damaging your virgin rims while mounting the tires...

how much is it for rim repair

and where can we take it?
i saw a place in one of those "pennysaver" type things, but i'd rather get a personal recommendation
i guess i'll ask at the p-car dealer or a rim shop if no one here has experience

Re: curbed my rim!

I curbed my gf's 2 week old dtm autohaus rim! $3k wheels!! I was lucky tho....Freddy's machine shop does some unreal work. plus the fact that theyre high polished wheels so they were easier to fix....compared to anodized lips on ssr's or painted wheels. you curbed your stock 18's? not too sure if freddys does painted wheels. im 99% sure he could fix the rim even if a pretty good chunk was missing....just not too sure on the repainting/matching of the color tho.

04 6MT, Black, Aero, Prem, Tein Flex's, Cusco sways, 19" SSR Sovereign's, Clears, 350Z Pedals, No front plate!

Re: curbed my rim!

I curbed my I-Forged but went to Mike Polishing 216-8661 or 951-8329. He'll fix the scrape and polish for about $50 a wheel. I had one rim done before I left and it ended up better than new.
