when i did my rims there, the rims had lots of curb rash and good size gouges on the spokes. i didn't ask for them to do anything special and i didn't expect too much from the job. but the rims came out almost like brand new...couldn't even see where the curb rash or gouges were...they did an awesome job. now that isn't to say that you will have the same experience but that was just mine.
if you are gonna go with gunmetal, you better call them first. don't expect to just show up and go with gunmetal...it's not a color that they usually stock. they might have it now, but they didn't before, so you better call ahead so you don't get disappointed when you show up with the rims and they tell you it'll take 3 weeks. also if you call ahead they will tell you exactly when to drop them off so that the turn around time is shorter...if they don't then just ask.
