High Low CatZ

Anyone know where I would be able to buy high flow cats at a reasonable price… According to Doug at Crawford… Production of G’s after 11/03 cannot run test pipes because the engine light will come on… Is this really true or is it a sales pitch...

I believe that that statement in regards to the test pipes might be correct. Search the exhaust forums for that topic. The only way around it is to use a wideband O2 sensor I believe.

Take a look here.

But it really would be better that you run high flow cats instead.

Re: High Low CatZ

I've got a 2004.5 coupe with test pipes and it thows the service engine soon light after about 20 miles, I've done the reset 4 times and it always comes back on. Car runs fine, just that pesky light shining in your face. I've just ordered a OBD2 scan tool for my PDA and will check out the code and do the reset with that and see if it works. If not I've heard you can either do the mechanical fix (non-foul plug adapaters to extend the O2 sensor out of the path of flow) or use O2 sims. If the scanner doesn't work I'm going to try the mechanical fix first before I cut into any wires to do the sims.
