so how come my tire warning light won't go off?

it went off on monday, i have lots of air in the tires, i figured it would reset after a while

I had the same problem when I bought mine, it was like that when I picked it up. I took it back to the dealer two weeks later and they had a computer gizmo the ran by each tire and it reset it.
