I wonder if other people from stateside think WTF everyone is talking about in the "Hawaii" forum?!?!?! lol.
translation: Yu tink da damn peepul on da maynland stay talk steenk bout us kanaks here on da aina wen we stay talk all funny-kind wen we try type in da computer or what?
too funny....what's ironic is that I have to switch from pidgin to standard english depending on whether my patient is a Parker Ranch cowboy or an astronomical engineer from Keck Observatory. I also had to do this when going from Kamehameha to UW for college 15 years ago. Otherwise, the people did not understand our Hawaiian venacular dialect......lol

ROFL....
What supprise's me is when I call mainland customer server and I say i'm in Hawaii... they ask all types of weird questions... Some of them still think we live in little huts and stuff lol... I'm guessing because alot of movies portray the old side of hawaii with the rundown shacks.
