Camber kit install

Anyone got any good suggestions on where the best place would be to install my SPC rear camber kit and the kinteix front camber kit? I'd try to do it with my usual friends but I dont have a rotary file for the rears. Hi-Pace said they would do it for $65 for the rear only. Is that a good price or does anyone know a shop that has experience installing the SPC kit our cars.

thats not a bad price. does that include elongating the oe slot for the toe bolts? I think I might just do that. I'd do it myself but I don't have time...or the means (garage, elec. outlet, etc...). Did you buy the kinetix front arms? The build of that kit seems so sketched...but it does seem to offer one of the best positive camber correction for the price.

Yeah I told them about the toe slot needing elongating and Ken said they had the tools to do it. I'm just waiting for the Kinetix kit to arrive, the SPC kit is sitting in my room. For the front Camber kits I tried to search for other alternatives to the Kinetix but couldn't find anything better. They all have certain things wrong with them, weather was too expensive, not enough adjustment, etc. The Kinetix was the best way to go for me. I'll keep you guys updated on how the install goes.

Well I got the front/rear camber kits put in yesterday at Hi-Pace. No problems. It was done in about 2 hours while i had some dinner at Ala Moana. The tires are the straightest i've ever seen 'em since putting in my coilovers last year. My camber was real sh*tty before. I went through tires in 6 months! Friggin waste. I feel a little better now that I got the kit put in. Now gotta start savin' some cash for new tires. I'm getting the alignment today and should be all G.

Well i'm trying to get the car aligned as I type this but the shop is having a hard time getting the car on the rack cuz of the drop. I've been using Tein Basics for about 6-7 months and was rollin' on 19" Bridgestone S03's. In that amount of time I went to the tracks twice and ran 3 times each. Other than that I've occasionally been driving the car pretty hard. It's also my daily driver. The rear tires are bald and the fronts have tread only on the outer side so I switched back to stock 17s for now, just gotta drop another grand on tires and i'll be back on the 19's. O yeah, still gotta get the rims fixed too. (DAMMIT!) I'll try and post pics when everything is all G.

S03's don't last long period. they grip well, but they run fast. i went through a lot in my previous car. i too use my G as a daily driver. i drive my car so hard it's unreal! my fronts are finally starting to wear out, and the rears are too, but not as much as the fronts. i'm on Toyo T1s' right now, but will switch back to my favorite Falken GRB FK-451. i loved those since they debut! what alignment shop did you take it to? Lindsey's, or Island Brake & Alignment is the best.

You should try out the BF Goodrich KDW 2. They were rated pretty high and the treadwear is a little higher, and cost $30 less right now at Tire Rack versus the SO3's.

Yeah I think when it's time to change tires, i'm gonna try the KDW2's I had the original KDW's which were $200 a peice for 16" rims and they were pretty good...

The only thing is tire sizes suck right now for the OEM 19" rim...

I was thinkin about the KDW2, the Toyo T1-s, or the Eagle F1. Are the Falken's available for 19's? (275/35/19 & 245/35/19) Still shopping around but I'll let u guys know where I find the best price. Thanks fo the e-bay tip AZN. The car is aligned now. Took it to Gemini cuz they were one of the few shops that could get my car on the rack. I'm posting the results on the Wheel/tire/suspension forum cuz i dunno if it is a good alignment. Ran me about $70 for the alignment.

Ah damn I could gave you a vendor discount car for Gemini... I got one because our company handles all the parts washers and spent fluids over there oh and all the discarded tires.

^ yes, Falken's are available in those sizes. i'm running those now. good deals again. if you want to purchase Falken or Toyo's, go to either Onlinetires.com, edgeracing.com.

*edit 04.13.05* i was drugged up on Valium's while on the boards last night. i meant Toyo's are available in those sizes. myb'z.
