why so many?
why so many?
just wondering why there seem to be so many g35 coupe's for sale on the island of oahu. i honestly can't wait to get one but i guess priorities change or more than likely a lot of people got more car than they can afford. i'm sure it has nothing to do with the car itself and just thought i'd share my mind thx.
a lot of times it's because they can't stand paying the monthly, and they can't stand how it's so mainstream. when i see coupes in the paper, i call and ask them why and they tell me these things.
Then theres the guys who get unexpected families and need sedans, not that i would know or anything. Personally i hate the poor mileage and the dozens i see rollin through UH. Another thing is the fact that I get pulled over so much, im starting to wonder if i look like osama.
I really agree with SenJen on this one... it's the monthly payments that hit everyone after... When they are that the dealer there are those that think they can handle it... Like me... I was gonna get rid of my car just because I was sick off paying the monthly... But I've been paying high monthly on almost all m previous cars that it doesn't really bother me anymore....
I think now I'm going to hang on to my car because I have some other competition out there... hahaha... oh well... I don't know...

I have to agree with most people when they say high monthly payments, yet on my dilemma, Ive been through 2 pay cuts from my job, and quite frankly it doesnt seem necessary or possible to keep my coupe any longer. I already went down to Windward Nissan and was looking at an 05 Pathfinder. I like it, yet I dont think I would get the trade in value that I want. Before King took over at Infiniti, I bought my base coupe for $33k. I went to KBB.com and got a surprise to what the trade in value was...my couple only depreciated around $2500 or so. I was wondering why that was. Is it because the demand on the car is so high that they actually raised the prices on all G35's??? If I can get $29k on my trade in, then I'd be glad to trade it in for an inexpensive car.

$31k for a base coupe!? isn't that an awesome price? especially for the 6spd which is supposed to have a msrp of $33k. i was going to look for a new 05' base g35 6spd with spoiler at least or maybe a used o4' with the premium package for the same price as the 05'. if you could give me some hints or info as to how you got that price i would love you forever man. haha but about king taking over infiniti, is it a good thing or a bad thing for potential buyers?
thx

seriously, i was wondering the same thing. the 6MT coupe came out like around the same time i bought my current car and would've had to eat a major loss if i traded it in then and there, so i kept my current ride. it's been 2.5 years since the coupe debuted and i still think it's pretty awesome, but yeah, too bad everyone's selling! i was thinking that of the 98% of the G owners on this forum who own coupes, only those w/ the '05s would be left!

got mine for 33k out the door....jus about 04 coupe 6mt...trade in is still above 30 so i was thinkin bout gettin an suv since the gas mileage wouldnt make much of a difference....but it jus wouldnt be the same rollin in a tank than a g.
