A League Of Our Own - Super Lap Series

Anyone want to start a class for this?
Currently we have 3 running G35 for our SuperLap Series. We need 1 more for a minimum to create our own class of cars. I'm trying to gain more interest, enthusiasm, and possibly more participants before our track closes. drag racing is fun, circuit racing is funner . Our next event for SuperLaps is on July 24. I hope a number of you guys can make it to at least spectate or possibly participate.

What are the safety requirements?

Let me start by saying that as much as I like the idea of tracking the G a bit, there is absolutely no way I am sticking a roll cage into my car.

Sounds like fun...

I'd be interested later on... I kinda want to get used to the car more first. Since this is my first RWD car and the highest HP car I've bought. FWD is easy for everything, but I wanna learn some more RWD specifics first...

rollcages are a choice, however we do encourage that potentially fast drivers get them. We are engaging in a group buy for rollcages that are for bolt-on application. Rollcages arent all bad, I've had a rollcage in my alltrac and my t-type, and they werent hard to get around. I dont see any wrong in having a rollcage installed being that I am going to use the car for weekend races. otherwise? I'd see it as an inconvenience. A rollcage is encouraged, but not necessary. however, we do stress safety, and a rollcage is one of many issues we would like to like to see resolved in faster cars. the cars that are going below 40sec on the short course have rollcages, as those cars are driven by seasoned SCCA Solo1 drivers and their cars are spec't for SCCA Solo1 as well.

As for learning how to handle your RWD car, there's no place better than at the track in autox or our superlaps. your not there to impress anyone, you're there to have fun at a competative level. we all have fun as we interact with the participants.

Simple answer, stay within your limits. Dont go out there testing the car's limits; especially when it's your first time. The car will do everything you want it to do, so in driving, it's better to learn it's limits rather than guessing them and making a costly mistake. baby steps, before you start to run, you must learn how to walk, before you learn to walk, you must learn how to crawl. All in all, you're there to have fun.

Everyone shares the same fear of crashing, Myself included.
