Some Good News!
From a reliable source
The track will be still open for business for another 2 years. Matson had already bid on the land but, they will not be using the land in the next two or so years. This should buy some time to get the new track moving along.

Wait...am I understanding this right: HRP is closing down?!?!
I've been away from Oahu for almost 6 years now, things sure are changing over there.
Then again, even when I still lived there, it has been a while since I last went to "Tracks"...not since back when I had my Integra!
Well, hopefully this is a good thing...hopefully this will mean that a new track will be paved somewhere. And this time, let's hope its a "real" track. I could care less about spectator-seating and stuff...but instead of a mainly drag facility, maybe they'll pave a much better road-course set-up!
Now that road-racing & drifting is so popular, I hope there will be an improved road-course. Then I'm gonna have to borrow one of you-guys' G35s when I come home to visit...hehehe! Or, I should just ship my Miata home & keep it at my parents' house, ahh?! That would be fun...!!!
Aloha from CA...^-^
