My @ss is sore.... *modification review*
haha,
getting fcuked in the @ss too much by all these shops. shiet.
here goes:
Rear Fender Roll:
Sonics did the work.
Pros - clean roll i must say. one small chip but isn't noticable and its not on the outside. Very close roll. looks like they basically folded the fender in. cool guys.
cons - bulging where the fender meets the rear bumper. apparently they never took into account that torching the fender softens the metal thus leaving is suseptible to fender bulging outside of factory lines. I didn't notice it til later. i should talk to them about it... i'm just a passive guy i guess. fawk. but it looks horrible.
Rear camber kit install:
Hi Pace did the install.
Pros - install went okay. cool guys.
cons - took longer than expected and quoted. quoted one hour work at a price of 55 or 65 bucks. Daddylongstroke got his front and back camber kit installed for like 100 or 100 sumpin' bucks. I was charged for a 2 hour job at 135 dollars...for the rears only. They supposedly raised the price after they installed my kit. On top of that, I waited over 3 hours for the job. Its a long story but basically, they ended up working on another car too...and when they were done w/ my car, they didn't say anything. car was just sitting there. (busy talking to friends and what not). bottom line, take care of customers first!! then talk story with friends.
Valet Key:
Infiniti of Honolulu of course.
pros - ?
cons - $80 dollars for a valet key? WTF. Need to reprogram all keys, which I got quoted about 30 bucks...which changed to 35 bucks which turned out to 45 dollars. I was quoted a 20 minute job, then about an hour, which ended up to over an hour job (to reprogram keys?). Oh yeah, and 20 dollars to cut the key. YIKES. $145 for a valey key.
Alignment:
Firestone did the alignment.
pros - cool guys once again. Went for the 150 bucks lifetime alignment. GOt a 20 dollar discount cuz of the sale they were having this weekend. YES. Got alignment back into spec..the rears only 'cuz i only got the camber kit for the rears. Guy over there has a 350z so he knows whats up.
cons - took kinda long...only cuz i went there w/out appointment.
Overall, I'm pissed. FOr one thing, this is my only day off (from both jobs). I wasted alot of time waiting. didn't realize you'd have to add an hour or 3 to the quoted time a shop gives you. another thing is I coulda saved money....If I did the camber kit myself. Only reason why i did it was cuz i thought it was only 55 bucks. fender roll, didn't come out like i expected. key costed more than expected. only the alignment was good thing that came out of it...lifetime baby. DAmn, wish I had my own garage. I'd rather do shet myself...but its hard when you're working on the side of the street.

sorry to hear. i don't understand why people get f.ucked at Sonic's, and Hi-Pace. as far as firestone, wow thats a first. right on for that. i go to Island Brake and Alignment. the best the 80 has to offer. so, see you this weekend???? hit me, or GT-C man up.
btw, valet keys for your alarm????
btw, valet keys for your alarm????
Dayam man, Hi-pace really jacked up prices. My bad, I wouldn't have recommended them if I knew. 135 bucks is crazy. The guy (ken) quoted me 60 bucks when i asked about only the rear kit install. I'm surprised firestone did the align. They turned me down cuz they couldnt get my car on the machine. Which one did u go?
