I'm heading to Oahu in December and just wanted to introduce myself. I've got a black 03 6mt with a few mods. I'm driving the G from Jacksonville to Los Angeles with my wife and 2 kids (insert circus music). I've been lurking in this forum for a couple of months and noticed you guys have a pretty good size group that meets up regularly. I look forward to meeting all of you.

congrats meng! actually, sorry to hear you have to come here! it's not paradise at all. nothing spectacular here except snorkeling, and the adequate amount of sunshine along the beaches. other than that, it's pothole run, oahu!

where will you be living? what are your current mods??

... and dayam... that's a far drive isn't it... what route you going to use... the 80.? I driven from San Fran to New York... took about 2 days and a half... with stops here and there...

I've got Volk SF Challenges, Fuji exhaust, Crawford plenum, Nismo CAI, PS2, TVs in the headrests (for the kids of course), and a bunch of other little things. I've got a couple other small mods in the works.

I'm making a vacation out of the drive. We're taking 2 weeks to do it with a 3 day stop in Vegas and 3 days in LA.

As soon as my car arrives I'll definitely be down for a meet/cruise.

No ^ menos puntos. We hate coupes here. Nissan North America does not allow the sale of coupes here due regulations. We are ALL sedan drivers. Oh well, i guess you should stay there or buy a sedan.

BTW did you get a chance to buy the kit, or are you waiting on turbonetics?
Also, we get raped with shipping charges. so if you wanna buy some of the stuff you were planning on getting up there, that would be cheaper.

How old are your kids? I always pack 4 people in my coupe and it's not bad, there's enough room for the backseat people.

LOL, I can just imagine your car packed with G35 parts on the inside so we can save on shipping. Body kits coming out of your windows, exhaust strapped to the roof and a set of seats sticking out of your trunk.

 

sorry to burst ppl's bubble with the shipping, but can't have anything in the car while being shipped LoL ... most likely you will find it missing if you did have anything in it ... i had spare change and the ppl took that ...

I'm planning on videotaping the guy at the dropoff point getting into my car and focusing on everything I have done to it. Probably won't prevent anything but I'll feel a little better.

 

yeah, it was an experience coming back to my car and having every compartment opened and a mess ... it felt so voilated ... at least they didn't drive it very far ... damn dock workers ... SOB!!!!!!!!!!!
