Ehhhh well.....the one in Japan was not all that. The car was too new and there were more parts for the old Skyline at that time.....not to mention that they did not even know what the CPV35 Skyline is at that time. I am sure that its different now. Still though, most of the things had to be ordered in. Things like shift *****, exhaust, rims, small stuff no prob. other things well........

Also...you want to go to the SUPERAutobacs versus the regular AutoBacs. There is a difference in what they carry and how much. The ones in Tokyo were so-so. I dont know which one is in Cali....all I know is that it is hella expensive.

If I had the R33 or R34....then that store would rock. But well obviously I dont, but... it was kind of cool to be in there at least once...just didnt offer me all the things that I was looking for.

Still cool though. Have fun BOTH of you guys.

Autobacs in general is overrated (and the US one is pretty lame from what I've seen). Places like Up Garage are more worth your time.

I frequent the Super Autobacs here (in Southern CA)...basically to "see & touch". They've got alot of good stuff there, but like someone mentioned above, they're on the pricey side.

Of course, they've got a huge overhead to pay...what with such a beautiful, huge facility, as well as alot of employees.

Its a great place to check things out & buy small stuff/accessories...like rearview mirrors, light bulbs, etc. Other than that, I think the private, small speed shops are more knowledgeable & reasonably priced for installs, custom work, etc.

But, even Jiffy Lube can't beat $16.95 oil changes w/ Castrol GTX oil right? Hehehe...

Nah, overall, I think of them as THE window-shopping spot...then go order from the small independents.

As far as selection, though, they've pretty much got everything! It really is a candyshop for car-nuts! ^-^

I went there this past spring.

Really other than the wheels, they don't have a lot to see. They've got the book/DVD section upstairs, the standard car stuff, and they've got some stuff that you ordinarily won't see sitting on a rack, but that doesn't necessarily mean they are stocking those items, you still have to wait for it like everyone else if you want to buy.

In any case it's worth the 60 minutes to cruise through the store.

that place sucks ... i don't recommend getting anything done there ... they don't have much in stock besides tires and that was hard to get and expensive ... i had a few bad experiences with my g35 there and they caused me about 2k to fix what they broke =( ... to say it again .. it sucks it sucks it sucks the ppl there don't know jack and blame the customer if something goes wrong ... and i say again never go there to buy anything it is a ripoff
