Sweet, they managed to update the style and yet still keep it looking like a g.
maybe if it's lighter, that's a hint about the 2nd gen fm platform being stronger and lighter. Something sorely needed for both the g and the new gt-r.

Nice! but the 07 GTR look is growing on me more and more. I have a picture of it saved on my desktop. At the rate that I'm spending money on modding the car...I'll probably have to wait a little past 07 to get one of my own. still attainable though
No specs or any other powertrain available yet. Nissan won't say anything officially but sources say that the current G coupe should run for 1 more production year, meaning that this model will most likely debut about 1 year from now as an early '08. The powertrain should be an enhanced version of today's VQ series engine, probably more than 300hp, but obviously less than the upcoming GT-R, which has a rumored twin-turbo V6, 400-450hp (a GT-R engineer said that having anything bigger than a V6 would've upset the weight distribution). The Supra/Lexus LF-A (if they really do build it) and the forthcoming Acura NSX are said to have V-10s.
As for the glass roof, it looks nice but I'd rather have a regular sunroof (maybe something like the tC or whatever). If that makes it to production, that would really add to the weight. They really ought to make a bigger, more luxurious version of the coupe off the M's chassis, to go against the (ugly) 6-series.
We should get a much better idea of what the final coupe will look like when the '07 G35s is unveiled at the New York Auto Show in April.
