Fog/Driving lights behind the lower grills

Has anyone thought of putting Fog/Driving lights behind the lower grills? I'm not sure if it's even possible since I haven't even looked yet. Just a thought. What do ya'll think?

Re: Fog/Driving lights behind the lower grills

I think if there were some fog lights in between some part fo the lower grille that would look pretty nice..

I remember somone photoshopped some pictures that lookd nice... I dont think anyone has actually done it yet though.

Re: Fog/Driving lights behind the lower grills

Looked at it extensively when I first got my "G", wanted to use them as DRLs. 2 things to consider.
1- The lights have to be small enough to fit and stick out through the opening or you will not get good coverage.
2- Mounting them is another thing, did not want to start drilling my new car at the time and if you use the 3m glue like some of them comes with to mount to the plastic part of the bumper, the lights might shake while driving and look tacky.

alexgg35........that kit looks like it replaces the lower grill. I would like to have the fog light behind the grill so that you can't even really see the fog light unless it is on.

Are these fog lights on this sedan, or something else? If so, this is what I want to do!

(found it in the Rides section...small pic here, go there to see it better)

That pic that you have is a Skyline V35 in Japan... (you can see the left side driver)... it looks like he has the Nismo Body Kit (factory kit) and the HID Fog Lights which cost upwards of $1,000USD to get htem here from JAPAN!... They look very nice.. but I dont have that $$$ for fog lights! hehe

Pesti,

Good eye, did even notice that! I spent some time looking at my front end, and with the standard facia (sedan) I couldn't find a sturdy mount for driving lights. There is more than enough room for a good set, but it would require some fabrication of custom mounting hardware.

BTW, thanks for your feedback on lowering a while back. I'm saving up for a set of Maya STM's to go with the springs! I think these wheels would look great on my lowered black sedan:

Re: Fog/Driving lights behind the lower grills

You can esily modify your lower grill to fit fogs down there at a much cheaper price than $1000. Buy of course you pay the $1000 for a stock look which you might not get from a custom set

Re: Fog/Driving lights behind the lower grills

I'm going with 18's. Anything bigger just doesn't look good to me. That wheel size and the car's lowered appearance should make for a good combo.

You're right, those do look very much like yours! I need to look into those too. I like the gun metal finish of the webbing on the STM's along with deep lip. I need some bucks though, those things ain't cheap...
