Sorry guys, I originally posted this in the Off Topic forum, thought it might have more exposure here. It's a problem with my parent's Camry.

I know it's a long shot, but did anyone by any chance changed the light bulb for the Dome Light in a Toyota Camry? My parents has a 97 Camry and just yesterday, after buying the replacement bulb, I couldn't get the damn cover off. I hate to think that's something you have to send to a dealer to do. In the owner's manual, it described all the procedures on how to change any other bulbs EXCEPT this one! Any information is appreciated!!

Just playing around.. I had a camry before my G.. you basiclly just pull off the clear cover.. its kind of hard but enough force and it will come off.. then it just pops back into place... I think if you look closly there are some indents where you can put like a screwdriver and pull it off..

If this dosent help let me konw and ill go and check my camry..

yeah, I saw the indents and tried to use a small screw driver to pull the clear cover off, except it wouldn't and started leaving damage to the surrounding plastic strip. That's when I stopped and got pissed. But if you have done that on a camry, I'll go try again with more confidence I guess.

Wife drove a 97 Camry also and you just have to grab hold of the lense and squeeze where the indentations are to unsnap the clips. Try getting one side to unsnap first, may have to use surgical gloves to get a better grip.
