Was at the SF Auto Show this weekend, and noticed that the 06s have a new nav UI and system, version 7.1. Has anyone investigated whether 05s can be flashed with this new firmware and/or if the 05s DVD drive can be swapped with an 06's (I assume that's where all the electronics live for the system)? I'm lusting after this new UI (it was my main reason for wanting an M) and want to figure out how to get it. Not only that, but the speed increase in doing things on it is astronomical. Moving around the map is very fast. Has anyone looked into this at all?
