Intake on ebay

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/03-05...67614082QQrdZ1

Does anyone know if this a good intake? I am looking for and intake but I would prefer a shot pipe as i dont want the intake to go into the bumper.

Should i get this or should i spend the extra on another more reputable aftermarket intake?

Forget the HP ratings I know they are wrong.

with a z tube and pop charger combo you will notice a very nice sound from the intake and the exhaust. just with the z tube the sound is not as much noticeable.

sorry, but that intake looks like a complete POS. There is no need to spend a lot of money, but a good intake will cost you $180 to $300.

nothing that you will notice. there may be some power loss with the z tube pop charger combo because the intake soaks in hot air from the engine because its right next to it.

if you just get the z tube with the stock air box then you wont have a heat soak problem, alot of people have that setup. just get a K&N drop in filter for your stock air box and a z-tube.

And how is that an intake is a 5 dollar piece of aluminum with a filter attached to the end of it, with some bungs welded on for the hoses.

I orderd one off of Ebay.. 10 bucks. Goin to put a K & N cone on it.. modify my stock air box to house it all.. see how it works. Hey cant go wrong with 10 bucks.

$300.00 for an intake cause it says WEAPON R on it or AEM is outrageous.

My buddy and I built a power pipe for my Cobra vice paying 300.00 for one from Anderson Motorsports (powe pipe is intake to super charger from fender) Spent 50 bucks on material and saw the same exact results.

Glad to see someone like you who's more openminded. People just don't get it. An intake is a good pipe + good filter.

Edit: I just saw your link to that intake. Don't get it, it's not a good one. There're others that cost a lil more, they're the better ones.

Wow you guys are funny. Please tell me what makes a brand name intake better than a RIP OFF one??? 2 people get it. What does an intake do??? All we want is FLOW that's it. The straighter the better. As far as short ram(WAI) vs CAI, the horsepower loss is just about 3 ponies in our cars. Can you tell the difference by driving it??? Can you get a better 1/4 run??? What do I have??? I have the Z tube with a K&N panel filter. If you're looking for the noise factor, get the CAI (Injen). I had one before and it was loud. I knew of someone who had an "Ebay Special" and it worked good for him. He eventually bought a brand name when his brackets weld let go. Quality is ok but the name brands are better. Don't forget...... someone has to pay for R&D. I'd love to see someone dyno and ebay special against a brand name intake. I know how I'll bet.
