Bassani Exhaust?

Has anyone ever used a Bassani exhaust or are considering one for the G? I know they specialize in Mustangs or FORDs (Found on road dead) but have heard they do custom applications also.

Thanks!

Re: Bassani Exhaust?

Yeah, I have used Bassani many times for my Cobra applications. They are an amazing exhaust with all stainless steel, and high quality construction. And even though its FORD, my 03 Cobra will destroy any G on the road.

Re: Bassani Exhaust?

Thanks, my other FORD was a Taurus wagon, I know the cobra will beat the G, but which is the sweeter ride!

Sorry, um Cobra. You guys are gonna hate me. Maybe not as pretty (Although mine looks nice), but boy will it outperform in most ways.

Sorry nuthin. The Cobra is a wicked choice ride. 390 HP, you could supercharge and intercool our G35's 3.5 VQ and it'll STILL get smoked by that car. It's engine may be a V8, but the displacement isn't huge by any means. It's a monster.
About the only areas I figure the G35 has it is in looks (slight edge, though the Cobras look nice, and the new Mustang (in 2005) will be HOT FREAKING GORGEOUS!
Also, I'd figure the G35 to handle a bit better, and of course has a much more usable back seat.
If it wasn't for the need of a back seat myself, I'd probably have gotten a Cobra instead of my G35. True 21st Century American Muscle - and it ain't gonna be anything other than

Re: Bassani Exhaust?

Wow, I am impressed. I would think most people here would bash the Cobra because it is a Ford. I have about 10k in suspension mods for the car pictured above. It handles very well, even if it were a daily driver, but it is not. It also brakes nicely with 6 piston Wilwoods. The G Sedan is my choice for a daily driver, becuase it has refined looks, handling, and power. If money were not an issue and I lived in FL, the Cobra would be my first pick, though (that's why I didn't buy a coupe). I love the American muscle, and there's nothing like 450 supercharged ponies at the rear wheels! (Pulley, chip, exhasust, intake)

Yes the 2005 Mustang is hot! I needed a more child friendly backseat. The drive from MD to NY can be hell with three kids.

Re: Bassani Exhaust?

Yeah, there is nothing like an American Muscle Car. I have been debating on whether to get a 300Z or Cobra or Vette as my project car. I'm leaning towards something like '76 Vette, but, I'm not sure yet.

Re: Bassani Exhaust?

Dude, do yourself a favor:
Early Vette ('72 or earlier), OK.
Late model Vette ('01 or newer), OK
But 1976 was the height of smog motor crap engines, and the lowest of the low points in Detroit's history. Everything about the mid-70's to early 90's Vettes is entirely forgettable.

Re: Bassani Exhaust?

yea mustangs suck!! Sorry but they do. For a car this new it should have a independent suspension in the rear. Corvette has been doing it forever and I think that Ford would have caught up by now. F-ound O-n R-oad D-ead.

Re: Bassani Exhaust?

Hey there davey boy. The Cobra does have IRS. You can't compare a Mustang GT to a vette. Compare the Cobra to the Vette, and you will see that it does very well. Better bang for the buck. For less than a vette costs, I was able to put down 460 Hp to the wheels, and create a better handling vehicle with suspension mods.

Re: Bassani Exhaust?

I would love like a 66 Vette, but those aren't easy to come by. The mid 70's seems fairly reasonably priced and available. The early 70's alittle more expensive and harder to find. I'm not big on the 80's vette's at all. I'm still looking around though. I won't be ready to buy until late in the spring, so I have some time to see what there is. Thanks for the input and advice.

Bassani Exhaust

Actually Bassani builds a very good system for the G35. After the cats,
X-pipe and two mufflers, a true dual. Stainless steel. E-mail me for parts photo and instructions. sheldon@bassani.com
