I've heard HKS in person...and I like it..
it's not too loud under 4K ( i think) but it gets
little bit loud once you step on the gas..
Stillen- I haven't heard..but I've heard nothing but good about this one..

the best thing that you can do is..find somebody near you who has
those exhausts and listen to them in person..maybe ride the car..
nobody can actually tell you which one is better than the others..
we all got different taste..

No offense to anyone with a HKS, but I heard one in person and felt bad for the dudes G to have to sound that bad. Lots of gurgling, and farting...

https://g35driver.com/forums/intake-exhaust/110533-stillen-intake-exhaust-combo-clips-hope-helps-you-all.html < see here for two Stillen soundclips from my car... sounds better in person though, if you were in seattle area, I'd show you, but since you're in Boston, kinda hard to do so.

Also, if your speakers have good base or even have a sub, it'll sound a little more like reality than w/o much base as you don't hear the depth of it as well. It's nice and deep down low, but once you're up in the RPM range at WOT, it screams like a *****. As one person put it, it sounds like an exotic car in one thread talking about the Stillen.

Gen 1 has some drone (and for me, it's fine... it's not horrible, and if you have your radio on and/or windows down, it's not THAT noticable, especially after the first week or so...), Gen 2 is suppose to have fixed that.
