03-04 w/ MREV2 + Spacer
Has anyone here with an 03-04 model done the MREV2 and Spacer mod combo on their cars. I have been reading that it tends to run lean with the given mod. I want to add the MREV2 and the spacer but dont' want to spend the extra cash on an ecu reflash or a piggyback system. Anyone here have any reviews?
i think youre going to run lean with mrev2 because its for revup engines..
you can get it but youll need a ecu reflash or whatever to get it to the right specs..
a spacer should be fine..

The MREV2 is made as a mod for any G35 engine. It is actually modified enough to produce a larger power gain then the spacer on the non-rev up engine.
If you choose to go with the MREV2 and a spacer, say a 5/16 on a non-rev up engine, you will lean out your fuel. What you can do to avoid the $750 a reflash will cost you is, call split second and have them send you a new piggy back system they have for the N/A G.. it costs around $250 and whatever install costs... then all you have to do is find someone with the program and a laptop to remap the fuel correctly and you'll be fine.
When speaking with Motordyne, one of the guys there informed me that with an Intake, MREV and a new upper plenum their research showed that a fuel remap was not enough and you need to go with new Injectors and a fuel remap.
im unaware of previous mrevs as i joined the g35driver after they were released so i was only exposed to the mrev2. thanks.

- this plenum's front cylinder runners were modified to make the mrev+
- further modificaltions resulted in the mrev ++ which Tony renamed the mrev2
- go with the mrev2 if you do not have a spacer yet.
- i have the spacer and Tony told me that going with the mrev2 would only give me a few more hp's and as stated here a ecu mod is required.....only you can decide if the the cost to hp gain for the mrev2 & ecu mod are worth the $$$$$

????????? I have never, ever seen a NA car able to max out it's injectors with only mild bolt ones. A reflash should be all you need. Unless you want more control and go with something like an UTEC etc...

I have 03 6mt, took out motodyne spacer and z tube and replaced w/ mrev2 lower plenum. I did not want to add the spacer on top of the mrev2 because of threads re: lean burn. For me the mrev2 replaces the spacer and gives a stealth non mod look. Performs about the same, not as loud, the engine is more drivable in stop and go city traffic and but dyno feels like mrev2 comes in above 4k rpm.
