SKUNK2 5/8" on Rev-UP

Does anybody have this combo? I ordered it, then realized it was 5/8", not 5/16" like the MD. Just want to make sure it won't damage my engine.

it shouldnt damage your engine. skunks are okay, motor dynes are the more popular brand and plus they have the isothermal kit reducing heat soak. umm i think 5/8 is good enough because youre a 6mt and you want hp in the high end.

I do not think that there are many experiences with the Skunk2 product, here on these boards. Nonetheless, I am looking forward to reading your post install review and comments.

In the past, with regard to the RevUp engine, members have noticed that the installation of a plenum spacer yielded very little measurable gains. When Motordyne offered the MREV in combination with a plenum spacer . . . That is when people started to realize and dyno very good and noticeable differences.

Perhaps with the 5/8" Skunk2 spacer, you will be rewarded with good results. Keep us posted.

I thought of it this way, the skunk is 175 and the ISO thermal kit is $50(didn't buy now). Still much cheaper than the MD. Im not super worried about HUGE gains, because you wont get them with either setup.

There is one important thing to remember with regard to the Motordyne components . . . The MD products were not made in mind with gaining peak power. They were made in mind with affording nice gains, as witnessed by members' dynos, under the curve . . . Which is exactly what they offer.

I am sure that with the Skunk2, you will notice improved daily driveability, as well. Anything more than that . . . We all have to look into other avenues for increased performance.

The wrong part was sent to me so I won't be able to install it this weekend. They sent me a CF engine cover instead. No big deal, they are being very helpful with getting me the spacer, but I wont be able to have it until next week due to the "holiday" .

Does anybody know if the CF engine cover will fit with the spacer?
