Does anyone's exhaust shoot out fireballs?

I recently purchased some Fast Intentions testpipes and HKS exahust. I remember that with my previous car my exahust and testpipe combination caused it to shoot out a lot of fireballs when the exahust heated up. I was wondering if any of you guys have experienced that with your exahust/ testpipe or header/exahust/ testpipe combinations on your cars?

Did some one tell you that you are shooting out fireballs? Otherwise how would you know? Just curious...

On my PREVIOUS car yea my friends would be cruising behind me from time to time and would call me to say the my car just let out a nice flame when i downshifted. I would also occasionally see a slight flicker in my rearview mirror when driving atr night which is how i would know when my car was doin it.

No, that's because you're a sane person. Flamethrowers are fvcking gay, esp. on newer cars.

Flame thrower: Think of all the possibility: Instant Chicken BBQ, Fried corn at the meets, etc. And my specialty - Tailgater's treat.

Anyways, I think that OP is talking about the backfire. I've seen that on cars with short exhaust or high powered with straight through headerbacks % downshifts and highrevs.

oh, and don't confuse the normal backfires for Anti-Lag aka Misfiring system. They're different.

I'm insulted that you would even link that POS on this thread......But yes as someone else said, the flame I'm reffering to that exits the exhaust is due to slight bits of unburnt fuel making it through to the exhaust system and due to the lack of a catalytic converter are allowed to pass completely through the exhaust (one of the resasons you have such a strong scent of fuel when you have testpipes) sometimes igniting into a flame on the way out.
