Nismo exhaust with extension pics??
I ordered a 350Z Nismo exhaust with the extension pipe from Performancenissanparts.com. I have read of the welding needed to get the tips to OEM position. Does anyone have a pic of the tips without the welding done.
I'm considering installing them with the extension piece and have the tips recessed....thanks in advance

ive seen pics out there and yes they will hide two inches in. if you have ip or a light colored g there is a good chance it will turn black as they all have in the pics ive seen.
id find them for you but im too lazy

click this link to my feeler. I have pics of my nismo exhaust w/ extension from performance nissan. https://g35driver.com/forums/archived-sales/113377-feeler-nismo-exhaust.html
i dont see why you guys dont just get the fujitsubo legalis r exhaust. it is the same exact thing (confirmed by performance nissan) but it is made for the g. fujitsubo actually makes the nismo exhaust so you can be assured that the quality is excellent. IMO its just stupid to buy the nismo exhaust for the name..i agree its cool that it says nismo (lol) but why use a bandaid to fix something that doesnt have to be fixed by getting the correct exhaust to begin with? sorry..just my opinion guys..

thanks Timbo...Pics give me a decent idea....as for the exhaust, I understand that Fujitsubo MAKES the exhaust, but that doesn't necessarily mean that the Legalis R is the same as the Nismo 350Z exhaust! I've heard them both and I personally like the sound of the Nismo better. To each his own....

Both are great exhausts.....except the Nismo comes with the Ypipe for almost the same price as the Fuji minus the Ypipe.
Now back to the original topic...

Nismo exhaust installed today
Got the exhaust installed today...sounds sick. With my headers/cats, the thing sounds crazy mean. I got the tips welded to extend so they sit in the proper position- they look perfect. I had the muffler shop do it and it wasn't a big deal (inexpensive too). I have to give props to k_hojnacki for his suggestions.
Will get some pics and hopefully sound clips soon.
