Installed new intake, now it won't run WTF!!!

I bought a USED Crawford intake off the 350z board. Just put it on today. Now the car won't idle and will barely run with throttle.

YES, I did unplug the throttle body.
YES, I did do the throttle relearn procedure according to Motordyne.
YES, I did an ECU reset....

I'm suspecting a huge vacuum leak. Before I rip this POS apart any suggestions????

The throttle body, I have read, can easily be knocked out of whack (it's drive by wire). Also did you possibly damage the MAF.

Nope and nope to both....

I was reading Crawford's instructions. How important are the 4 bolts inside the plenum that replace the 4 long ones on the stock plenum. I BOUGHT THE INTAKE USED WITH NO BOLTS.....

So does this mean the four bolts are that critical?? I sprayed all around the perimeter and nothing seemed out of the ordinary.

DUDE, YOU NEED TO REPLACE THE >>>>>6<<<<< BOLTS FROM THE OEM PLENUM. IF YOU ONLY CAPPED 4 OF THE HOLES THE OTHER 2 WILL CREATE THE VACUUM LEAK

sorry for the caps... lol

6
6
6
6
6 bolts, not 4
six

just got done helpin out another member on here earlier today with that problem... forgot the bolts completely

after u put the last 2 bolts in reset your ecu and you'll be good to go!!!

Fixed!!!!

It was the missing bolts inside the plenum. Car runs pretty good now. Of course it's raining now and I can't really get on it. Anti slip kicks in in third now never did that before...

Thanks for the help guys

Drove it 15 miles today. No problems so far

One question though. I don't hear any noticable increase in noise, intake or exhaust. What's up with that????

Not sure if you're supposed to. I don't think I did, since I already have a ztube and pop charger. By the way, don't call it intake, it's either a manifold or plenum, whichever you prefer. Your ztube and filter is the intake.

+10

have you tried driving with music off? lol jp
the difference in sound will be heard significantly when you open'er up and do shifting above the 3.5-4k marks... try this... next time your on the highway ... keep it in 6th as you take an exit... don't clutch out.. just give it throttle when you want to and hear the vvvvvmmmmmmmm... then put it into the correct gear...

I knew there was something I forgot, turn the radio off

Seriously, after a day of driving it, it does seem a little louder out the tailpipe and the intake noise has seemed to have gotten a little more "airy" sounding.
Car sounds pretty good and it really seems to run better in the 3-5k range. Pulls harder to 6.5k....

Answer this, why has my gas mileage all of a sudden started to suck???
